I graduated from my university with good performance. I began my working career. I also wanted to make success in my job. I worked hard. Still in my pocket were many chewing gums. Every day, I sat at my desk and finished my work with high efficiency. I was a good employee, my boss said so.

After working for several years, I had got a chance for promotion, which I yearned for so much. During that period, I worked harder. I thought my effort had been repaid.

One day, my boss called me to his office.

"Emma, you are so excellent an employee. After you join us, you have done your job successfully and efficiently. I thank you for all you have done in our company".

I looked at him with smile and please. I knew the time finally came to me.

My boss watched me and stopped for a while. He squeezed some words from his mouth,

"This time we have got a vacant vocation. But after consulting with other administers, we decide to give the chance of promotion to another person. We think he is more suitable than you for this vocation."

I felt shocked and didn't know why.

"You see, the new vocation need to contact with many different customers. Your …is not so good for this vocation." He mumbled.

I knew what he meant even though he didn't speak out the words of bad breath. I've never thought my bad breath have influenced my life so badly. I didn't complain of anything.

I knew I must do something to cure it.
